I am a big fan of Cisco's products. They are very expensive, but work very well. Linksys is owned by Cisco, so I am sure those are pretty good products too. I have had bad experience with D-Link support so not sure about that brand.
When in doubt, ebay it!

What you need is a Cisco switch, (not Linksys). There is a big difference between Cisco and Linksys. Most "Linksys" switches, modems and routers are based more towards home networking. Linksys does make some business equipment, but it's not the main focus for Linksys. Cisco offers the best Enterprise equipment that you can buy. They are quite expensive, but will last you a long time, and could easily speed up your network.

I would agree with Pirate07. The Cisco products I have dealt with are very stable and quick once you get them configured. If you need help, I know how to configure them pretty well now

Here is a 48 Port Netgear Switch that I found. It looks very nice, the only thing I personally don't like about is, it has a web browser interface.

Wow how easy was that!! pretty much just plugging and go changed IP range to ours and reset the default password and away it goes!! I will looking to tweaking the configuration after reading the manual
the web interface is easy to use and navigate over all appears to be a fairly good switch.

Wow I will have to keep one of these in mind for future reference. I guess a Web Interface would be easier than the Cisco CLI. But I know the commands for Cisco pretty good. You may have found a "diamond in the rough."
