You have a corrupt file or registry key. You will need to reinstall Internet Explorer or we can try resetting Internet Explorer back to factory defaults.

This will reset all of your settings so do this at your own risk.
  • Exit all programs, including Internet Explorer (if it is running).
  • If you use Windows XP, click Start, and then click Run. Type the following command in the Open box, and then press ENTER:inetcpl.cplIf you use Windows Vista, click StartCollapse this imageExpand this imagePosted Image. Type the following command in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER:inetcpl.cplThe Internet Options dialog box appears.
  • Click the Advanced tab.
  • Under Reset Internet Explorer settings, click Reset. Then click Reset again.
  • When Internet Explorer finishes resetting the settings, click Close in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.
  • Start Internet Explorer again.

Let me know if this works,

See if you can download this file:
http://go.microsoft....?linkid=9646978

If you have a different web browser, open the link in there to get it to download.

If it asks if you want to save the file or run it, click Run and then follow the steps the wizard may ask to reset Internet Explorer.

I came across this while googling for a solution to this issue, and I came here to ask; I followed these steps, but the error message is still appearing. What do I do? I am using Windows 7.
