My boss wants me to install some monitoring software on our office computers,i've no idea where to start looking, does anyone have any experience with a decent one?i've tried the filters built into IE but they are terrible...
I have searched google and got some like these
Employee monitoring software
Remote pc spy software
Remote Desktop spy
but there're much more..I have no idea..
personally i dont agree with monitoring staff, things always get round them and i think boss
need to get employee to respect their rules... but like i said its boss!

thanks for any advice...
They said technology was supposed to make life easier.

Sure had me fooled

Welcome siennal!

I do not have much experience with desktop monitoring software. Madmatt, another administrator on the site, has great experience but unfortunately he is gone for the holidays. If I remember correctly, he uses Ultra VNC. Ultra VNC is totally free and has a few apps that might help you out.

Here is a link: Ultra VNC

Let me know how it goes :)

It would help us if you could explain what you wanted to monitor on the PC's or do you just want to see what they are doing a certain times. You can view there screens without them knowing with VNC software running as a service

IMHO, the best is keylogger+blocker, this kind of combination is invincible. So, I suggest 1+2 or 1+3 (I mean the order the soft you mentioned).
And, I have some other options, such as Spytech remote keylogger + filter software. Keep your eyes open, guys and, good luck
