Welcome to the site inukkaz!

On the bottom of your laptop, you should see a white sticker that says SERVICE TAG XXXXXXX.

Could you tell me what your service tag is so I can lookup the exact system configuration.

Thank you, here are the drivers for your system:

Audio: SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio

Video: Intel 945GM Graphics Controller

Network: Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller

Let me know how it goes,

I know this may sounds silly but once downloaded copy these files to your USB drive then open them on the PC that you wanted to install them on. Is that what you meant "i need a guide on how to get my drives up to date i have an external harddrive to transfer data with"

But on the home PC is say "drivers and downloads"

Is that right?

When you click on the blue Download button, you should get a popup that asks if you want to use the dell download manager or Download via your Internet Browser. Click on the Download via your Internet Browser button.

Try these:

Network: ftp.us.dell.com/network/R149798.EXE

Audio: ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R171789.EXE

Video: ftp.us.dell.com/video/R153830.EXE

You will have to copy and paste them into the address bar.
