Microsoft Access creating formulas

Can you create a forumla in Microsoft Access, if so how. I have been playing around with it and cant find a way to do so. I know you can do so in excel. This is for the 2007 ed.

what do you want it to do? a lot is done in code in access.

access defines what i want to do as an experession. so, i have to set up a lil bit more than just type it in.
