Alright so I want the ATI HD5770

The requirement for it is 450Watts + 75 for the 6 pin connector = 525?

So my systm has 460 Watts, and I'm wondering if it's possible to run it despite the requirement?
I heard that it's possible to run an 4670(i think) which has 400W requirement with an 350 watt power

Hello welcome to PCHHQ it may work with the 400w but that is a very standard power supply I would recommend at least a 600w power supply. What is the full specs of your existing hardware so we can use a PSU calculator to see exactly how close you are with the 400w power supply

I had a look at the specs of your PC and it looks as if it has no X16 PCIe socket see below make me wonder

To get this system going well it looks like you would have to replace the mainboard to get the correct socket for the new graphics card and a new power supply 600w or higher. This is a reasonably easy task I can help you find the parts to fit your PC if you like and also help with fitting instructions when they arrive if you like

But I do have an PCI-E slot right?
since I have a 9800 gt, doesn't that occupy the slot?

My budget is quite low currently so I might not have enough money for a new motherboard and power supply so I might just get a weaker card if ^ is the case

silly me I think it say PCI Express x16 One (None available) is because your 9800 GT is in it.

This is probably a dumb question but since I got 460 watts, and I think my processor uses 90 or 95, does that mean my total watts after will be 460-95=? lol

also do you know if if a 4670 is the best card I can handle that I can get from bestbuy?

my budget is $300 or so, the only problem with me buying the 5770 mentioned earlier is because of my watts, I can't afford a 500-700+ watts psu at this moment, and I want any card better then a 9800 gt, mine broke for some reason o.o

BestBuy will be significantly more expansive than if you were to order from newegg.ca What I would recommend is to have it shipped to your work or your parent's work, etc. since someone will be their to sign off. As for money, you should sign up for a paypal account. Paypal makes it easy, fast, and secure to spend money online.
