Hi guys. My name is Stephan. About 5 months ago, I noticed my computer had mywebsearch installed on it. Mywebsearch is this strange virus that redirects the computer while browsing (even if you type in the right address) to a search of mywebsearch (a fake search engine that WOT (Web of Trust), a Mozilla Firefox add-on, says is rated red for every category). I uninstalled it with Revo uninstaller, hoping it would get it off completely. A day later, I was peacefully browsing the internet. I typed in "www.wikipedia.org", and it redirected me to "http://search.mywebsearch.com/mywebsearch/AJmain.jhtml?st=hp&ptnrS=&ptb=&tpr=&searchfor=wikipedia". I was in shock. Had I not JUST uninstalled it? I have a feeling that it has something to do with my registry, which unfortunately I have no idea where to even start looking. Avast antivirus scanned and found nothing, yet I know mywebsearch is there. Ccleaner's registry cleaner found no broken registry links related to mywebsearch. I even defragged my PC, hoping in vain it would do ANYTHING. Not a chance. Please get back to me on this. I really need your guys help.
Stephan
P.S. I'm a freshman in high school (that's why I sound young).
