Whenever i try to play COD 4 or 6 in any resolution above 1280x720, my computer restarts after a few minutes. I assume that this is from my video card overheating because i have checked its temp after playing before and it was above 90 degrees C. My current video card is a 256mb ATI Radeon X1950XT. What is the best card i could get for under $75? Maybe under even under $50. I might go up to $100 if it is absolutely necessary (but i don't want to because i already think i got ripped off for my computer). Could i get one cheap that will allow me to play COD in HD?

Just in case you need to know, here is all i know about my pc.
AMD Anthon 64x2 Dual Core Processor. 3.11GHz
2.25 gb of ram
ASUSTeK M2N-E motherboard
ATI Radeon X1950XT video card.
Windows XP home

What do you mean? You said the first card was the best one for under $100 then you said the next one was better. Anyway, would the $30 card let me play Modern Warfare 2 in 1080p?

I checked to see if the fan was spinning and noticed that the air filter was very dirty. i vacuumed it out and it works great now!

Great to hear! :) As future reference, if you clean the fans, do not let them spin as fast as possible. Doing this can ruin the bearing and make the fans nosier/no longer working.

I didn't clean the actual fan. I just vacuumed the filter where the air comes in. I didn't see a switch to change the speed, anyway.

My bad, I thought you cleaned the fan itself. Well now if you do clean them, you will be a pro in the future :)
