Hello there. I'm a new member and hope to receive your help.

I recently got a Dell Inspiron 545s desktop computer. It has windows 7 (home edition x64), 8 gb or RAM, tons of HHD space, and runs very fast overall.

The problem is I have three monitors I want to run at the same time with this Desktop. The video card that came with the PC is integrated into the motherboard.

I was thinking of buying this: Jaton NVIDIA® GeForce® FX 5200 PCI 128MB VGA 2X-HD15 250

Here's a link to this dual vga video card: http://www.radioshac...oductId=4416679

My question is if this video card will run on this PC. From what I can tell it should, but i just want to make sure because this video card is very expensive.
Will windows 7 allow me to install the drives without any problems?

Thank you for any help that you can provide. I appreciate it :)

Welcome to the site!

Yes and no. The card will fit in the PCI slots, but will not fit in your case. You will need to search for what is called a low-profile graphics card. This will come with the bracket to make it fit in your slim case. According to Dell, your machine will support 1 PCIe x16, 1 PCIe x 1 and 2 PCI cards.

You may want to look on www.newegg.com for some cards, you may find they are cheaper and easier to narrow down what you are looking for (in this case a low-profile card.)

Thank you very much for the help. If possible could you help me out with one more question.
I went to the website you provided and found this video card. It seems to fit those specs that Dell has required.

My question is:

With the integrated VGA port on the motherboard of the Dell PC and the two slots on this video card....Can I run three monitors at the same time?
I'm worried that the integrated video card will be shut off If i install this video card. I want to run three monitors at the same time off of this computer.
All three monitors are VGA types...which means I can just buy a DVI to VGA converter and connect it into the DVI port of the video card i'd like to buy, giving me three VGA outputs.

One more note, My Operating System is windows 7 64 bit.

Thanks again for the help you've provided.

You are correct, the second you plug in the card, it will more than likely shut off the integrated card (although some bios settings will let you override this). Like you said, the way to get three monitors would be to get a DVI to VGA adapter, which will let you plug in 1 monitor directly to the card, and then two onto the dvi-vga adapter.

Windows 7 will definitely let you run multiple monitors, so you are good to go there :)

Let me know if you have any more questions.
