ok now I can sort of work it out. see at the top of the BIOS screen it has tabs "Main" and next to that is has "security" and the next one say "System_Icantsee" you should be able to access them tabs at the top with the keyboard some how. I guess the info we are after would be under the tab I can't see properly "System_Icantsee" it should mention the DVD/CD drive under one of those tabs can yo find it? because if its not showing up in there it's probably a fault with the DVD drive or mainboard. If you can see it there may be other things we can do to get it going in windows again.

try this go into bios press F9 key when you in there then press F10 key and the y and press enter. This should reload the BIOS defaults. reboot into windows is the drive there now. BTW not seeing a DVD drive in the BIOS is not a good sign :(

Unfortunately, it looks like the drive has failed. If the computer isn't showing it in the bios then the drive has died. Is your computer still under warranty? If it is HP should replace it; if not we can help you find a new one for the PC if you would like.
