Another handy tool I find useful is Revo Uninstaller
Like other tools I would suggest it is freeware, and available both as a standalone app and as a portable, USB flash drive based utility.
Where the built-in and sluggish Windows Add or Remove Programs option fails, freeware Revo picks up the slack. It builds out a useful feature set on top of a fairly light, 1.5MB installation. The program also includes a startup manager to inspect and disable programs that start automatically as well as a privacy cleaner to remove Internet traces, a secure deletion tool and an option to find and remove files, folders and registry keys that were left behind during uninstall. Revo also provides some powerful tools. Advanced mode adds program-specific Registry key access to the context menu. The Tools Optimizer holds the Autorun Manager, Windows Tools access screen, and a Junk File finder/killer. The Autorun Manager provides one-stop shopping for startup tweaking. Windows Tools pulls together various and disparate basic utilities under one umbrella, and the Junk killer is just that.
Usually I utilize Advanced mode, which not only runs the targets own uninstaller, but also searches the registry and file system for other left behind entries and the such.
Try it out, amazing how much crap can be left behind from programs you THOUGHT were removed.

Revo is a nice program, I have used it before and it does work well, but you can do the same thing with CCleaner. It has a built in uninstaller along with a some other useful tools. CCleaner Download

Do you know I've never used the uninstall tool in CCleaner, have a free version of TuneUp Utilities that I use for most stuff but I do distribute CCleaner myself to others. I include it as part of a small batch of freeware that I install on donated PCs, so that the users can perform basic maintenance themselves. But you are right CCleaner is a wonderful app with many great tools, and integrates well.
