Hi Members :D

Hiren's BootCD is a wonderful live CD containing various programs such as Hard drive recovery, Hard Drive Partition, Hard Drive Backup, Hard Drive Testing, RAM (Memory) Testing, System Information, MBR (Master BootRecord), BIOS, MultiMedia, Password, NTFS (FileSystems), Antivirus, AntiSpy, Process, Windows Startup, Registry tools, Windows Cleaners, Optimizers, Tweakers, and many others... As it is a bootable CD, it can be useful even if the primary operating system cannot be booted. We may call it as an emergency cd which every computer technician or home user must have.

I concur - a handy tool!
Part of my kit for a while now, along with a few others, and a live boot Linux CD. Also carry Reatogo - a live version of XP with various addons you can configure. Am currently getting ready for Win 7 with a few adjustments. At the moment got my laptop in bits on my coffee table, but keeping an eye out for any news. Will sort out a list of useful tools for techs and post it shortly, maybe we can all compare.
Have a friend who's just started a new job as a tech so helping him, which is making me reconsider and update my toolkit - also I get some good feedback as I'm his 'phone-a-friend' when he's stumped.

Think you'll know what I'm getting tomorrow - Tollhouse Cookies. My co-ordinator has just returned from visiting her folks in upstate New York and brought back the recipe and some Nestle choc chips. Got a good idea - bake them fresh and serve them in a dish topped with good vanilla ice cream - YUM!

Hirens Boot has some very useful tools. I have this in my collection along with many Linux Live CD's, Super Grub Disc (which any Linux user should have in there collection), The Ultimate Linux Boot CD, and of course boot Cd's for most Windows Operating Systems. The thing that I like the best about Hirens, is the ability to make a Ghost Image of your C: Drive, without spending any money on over priced programs.

I'll get it off Kirsten, she's American herself so using hers, supposed to be good. Will post it soon as tried it out. Can feel the sugar rush already!
