Anyway. am about tonight for a while, bodyclock shot to bits as I slept on the sofa (couch to you lot) this afternoon watching TV. Up for any discussions on this matter..
Open Disc Totally Free Software

Going back to a point I made a couple of days ago, if anyone's got a logo let me know, am going to put a link to the site on the disc I do for my charity, which will obviously help promote everywhere. Have a think and get back to me, with maybe a few words too - no rush as not going to happen overnight, but too good an opportunity to pass up. Obviously UK-based, but if I can get it right, it will have nationwide exposure - and knowing the nature of the beast should get a lot of coverage.

Hmm. we don't really have a logo for the site
I understand that, just giving some advanced warning; if there were one I could put a short article about the site etc on the discs I'm preparing. Think this would be a good promotional opportunity and if someone wants to have a go at one (or if not has an idea for one and I'll have a go), there's plenty of time to experiment.

Well, I can get you the sites description. Could we say the disc is sponsored by PC Help Headquarters, put a link back to the site, and then put a description of the site?

|'ll leave that to you Admins for now, going to concentrate on disc. Once done I'll post an iso somewhere, so all can see it, just thought it would be nice to give you a link back from it - hence the logo. Will be good practice for the one from us, so any suggestions for content welcome. Hope to have it completed within a week / 10 days, but won't be finalising it for a while as the funding etc will take a while - got more chance of more funding if I can demonstrate a 'finished' article. Have taken ideas already discussed in Forums within, already got the install files and links with a brief description - will only be a cd so going to be a bit tight - as far as AV concerned only giving links due to updates. Charity UK-based but hopefully press coverage on internet will help promote site - a bit of SEO and also the kudos gained.
Anyway, for now I'm off; let you guys sort out your side. Have fun.. - got a few days of refurbishing old junk this week, trying to clear some space in the office, in between sorting this out.

Thanks
I'm a bit behind due to my indispsure recently...
Soon as I've got time I'll post the list of software etc I'm including for comments. This is for my charity - had to reduce numbers but still printing 10,000, including templates for CVs (resumes), job application letters and the like - as well as some home budgeting spreadsheets. Have got the funding from various social organizations so have to build a site which links to the disc with a portal to these orgs - such as help for the elderly, disabled, learning needs etc, as well as local council services. Am writing my own browser so code within it links to site on 1st run, has become a bit of a monstrous task (need to clone myself really) - between this and writing learning materials for a new MS course I'm delivering a bit tied up (and had 20 PCs donated this week-which need refurbishing!) so bear with me. My list isn't exhaustive, as it's tailored to my target audience, but ticks a lot of boxes and should be a good basis for expansion.
